Why this blog ?
I created this blog to share my experiences and learning of the Microsoft technologies especially .NET and Azure. I will write tutorials and experiences i've made during my developments, detailing the problems I encountered along the way or share some tips to help you!
I'm always curious about new development technologies, methods, frameworks... My goal is to gather the useful information I find, in the hope that it will be helpful for someone else. I think the computing world is constantly evolving and so there will always be things to discover or talk about.

Who am I ?
My name is Yannick FROUIN, my friends often call me ‘Yanno’. I graduated in computing sciences from Rennes 1 university in 2010, and then worked for several companies till the end of 2019 when I started my own company : Net-T-Rex.
I first experienced the .NET framework with a winform application during my studies and since then I have a great interest in everything related to Microsoft software development. I worked with all versions of the framework from the 2.0 version : I discovered AJAX with ATLAS, I remember the good feeling it was when I first tried LINQ or the fun I had creating some funny shader effects with Silverlight, I played a lot with the WebForms UpdatePanel, I followed the development of some great projects like Katana or SignalR and more and more...
I strongly believe in open source and I think this new era with Microsoft contributing so much can only be good for all developers all around the world. Since 3 or 4 years, I have a new passion about the Microsoft Azure platform : I try to figure out ways using all the provided services to transform the good old monolith solutions to microservices ones. These days, I love to talk about .NET Core, Docker, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Serverless...

Microsoft Communities
Since the beginning of my career, I love spending time going to tech events dedicated to Microsoft. The first one I went to was the Tech Days in Paris in 2014 : I remember I was astonished by SignalR and loved the Coding Fun sessions (I miss them so much). Then, I went to so much other events I can't remember all and since 2018, I have the luck to be speaker too and more than learning from others I can now share with them.
What I love in those events, it's the energy of passionate people around them. Moreover, all the speakers I met and talked with were very friendly. So if you want to learn new things in a very good atmosphere, do not hesitate to go to some of the Microsoft events near to your place. I am from Rennes city and I advise you to follow the Rennes Microsoft User Group and not miss the Microsoft Global Azure Boot Camp.
